Uber Sets Up First Physical Support Center

It's happened. Uber has grown big enough to finally set up shop, aka a support center. The tech company has just signed a lease for 3.2k SF of Class-A office space in Portland, OR.

The support center will provide in-person support for the company's more than 4,000 drivers. "We'll provide vehicle inspections, work on compliance issues, help with tech support—it's kind of an all-purpose support center for our Portland partners," Uber head of communications Kate Downen says.

On the other side of the country, Uber set up its official office in New York's up-and-coming tech hub, Long Island City[PBJ]
