SURVEY: Will The Metaverse Reshape Commercial Real Estate?

They say you can’t escape reality, but lately, that seems more true about virtual reality.

The metaverse is dominating headlines and could soon play a major role in the economy — Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley both reported they see $8T worth of opportunity in the space. Major institutional investors like BlackRock are looking to get into the sector in a bigger way. And some commercial real estate players are starting to eye the metaverse as well, especially as virtual worlds are increasingly (rightly or wrongly) being treated as places with parcels that can be sold, leased and mortgaged just like physical real estate.

All of this is new and confusing, and it is difficult to separate reality from hype and hope. As the commercial real estate industry parses through it all, we want to hear from you about your thoughts on and actions in the metaverse so far.
