GOVonomy Chugs Along

National Tech

Former DOT CIO Nitin Pradhan’s is on a quest to introduce tech companies to government agencies. He told us this week that in four months, he’s recruited 25 growth companies. The program, called GOVonomy, first talks to government agencies about their needs and then pairs them up companies in the GOVonomy system. Nitin also takes care of getting the companies and products ready to sell to the government. (Each are given a college-level course on the virtue of patience.) Nitin says many of the companies are from Silicon Valley, Boston, and New York, but at least 15% of them are from outside of the US. He says he’s on pace to have 100 companies in the next one to two years. He also recently partnered with ProposalHelper, which will provide proposal writers for some of the projects.
