In his first official visit with a foreign leader, President Donald Trump on Friday discussed trade, Brexit, NATO’s future and policy toward Russia with British Prime Minister Theresa May.

May's visit was the start of a foreign policy-filled weekend for the president, during which time he lined up chats with leaders in Germany and France and Russia's Vladimir Putin to talk similar issues regarding immigration and trade, USA Today reports.

In addition to discussing Trump's committment to NATO and whether the president supported easing Russian sanctions, May also mentioned pursuing talks of a new UK-U.S. free trade agreement, which could be important for Britain as businesses gear up to leave the UK as the nation prepares to cut ties with the EU.
