Walmart to Open 115 Stores in China

Walmart is ramping up its efforts to fight for Chinese consumers by opening 115 new stores across China by 2017. In previous statements, Walmart said it planned to increase from about 400 stores to 480 by 2016. This new increased effort will create more than 30,000 jobs, Market Watch reports. Walmart will also put 370 million yuan, or $59.6M, into remodeling stores this year, and in the near future it will launch a mobile app so customers can order online and pick up merchandise at the store.
