ICSC: Contradictions In Retail Landscape

Retailers are shifting from a growth perspective to one where simply maintaining their portfolio’s value is considered a success.

ICSC’s RECon conference in Las Vegas highlighted the contradictions in today’s retail landscape—fast-casual restaurants are booming while luxury and mid-price apparel companies suffer. But fast-casual restaurants aren’t the only ones doing well, discount retailers and some suburban neighborhood shopping center landlords are also making robust deals, CoStar reports.
