Dianne Twinam's Favorite Things

Placeholder

The holidays are nearly here—are you still wondering what to gift your favorite property manager? We asked Cassidy Turley SVP Dianne Twinam what makes her job easier. Dianne—who transitions new property assignments into the firm’s 34M SF managed DC-area portfolio (she's snapped above with colleagues Tom Updike and Ben Comm)—tells us she likes online tenant work order and preventive maintenance systems, like Building Engines, which track tenant requests and building maintenance history. The tool keeps property managers and engineers abreast on building issues (requests, for instance, can immediately go to smartphones) and also provides valuable reporting info. Another program she likes is the Kardin budgeting and reforecasting system, which eliminates the need for Excel spreadsheets and rolls over property financial information year to year to make it easy to compare numbers. It’s also essential to have a comprehensive, well-thought-out set of building rules and regulations that all contractor’s must abide by, she says—it keeps everyone on the same page from the time a project kicks off through its completion.

As a property manager, what are some of your favorite things? Tell Bisnow, and we might feature you in an upcoming newsletter.
