CBRE (CBG) pulled in $11B in revenue last year, and has 70,000 employees, offices in 68 countries—and a seriously unconventional HQ.
CBRE’s office of the future has no assigned desks at the headquarters, no private offices and all personal effects must be stashed in a high school-size locker.
The office is not entirely paper-free, but it is incredibly efficient and clutter-free. Plus it’s way cheaper than a traditional office—the company says it’s saving $500k on just this one location, Forbes reports.
And employees like it better. In an internal survey 83% felt more productive and 90% wouldn’t return to the previous format. [Forbes]
