Northview Apartment REIT is offering a month’s free accommodation at its properties across Canada to 645 families residing in Northview's Fort McMurray buildings, and to the 30 employees based there who’ve been displaced by the wildfires. CEO Todd Cook says the company’s primary objective is "providing a safe place to call home to the team and residents who have been affected." Northview also is matching up to $25k in donations made by its employees to the Red Cross Alberta Fires Appeal. With the province and feds matching these efforts, Cook notes up to $100k could be generated.
