Creative Mixed-Use Conversion: Church Becomes Multi-Colored Skate Park

Placeholder

In an impressive display of creativity of mixed-use conversion, a 100-year-old Spanish church is now a psychedelic skate park named La Iglesia Skate. (That's "The Skate Church" in Spanish; creative, no?)

The run-down holy building was bought and renovated into a skate park by a collective called the Church Brigade, after a successful crowdfunding campaign, The Real Deal reports.

The multi-colored church was painted by Madrid street artist Okuda San Miguel, who transformed the sanctified interior into what he's dubbed "Kaos Temple” with a project starting in 2014.
