Second Annual Bisnow International Life Sciences Event To Take Place In Montgomery County, Maryland: Here’s What To Expect

Bisnow’s International Life Sciences and Biotech Conference is making its return in 2024 after a successful inaugural event the previous year. In 2023, Bisnow brought together global leaders in life sciences real estate for a two-day conference. While Bisnow has held many life sciences events around the U.S., collaborating with life sciences experts from around the world to facilitate meaningful discussion about the future of this booming sector was just the beginning of an exciting endeavor.

The result was an international event unlike any other that brought together more than 600 life sciences owners, brokers, operators, developers, tenants and more for networking and panel discussions on the future of the industry.

The inaugural International Life Sciences and Biotech Conference, which took place in Philadelphia on Oct. 11 and 12, featured members of more than 300 CRE and life sciences companies, including Breakthrough Properties, Wexford, AstraZeneca, BXP, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Tishman Speyer.

Panels included Top International Markets: Global Trends, which covered trends in the hottest CRE life sciences markets and those that are on the rise, while Creating Biotech and Innovation Hubs dove into cell therapy, drug discovery, cancer research and which breakthroughs will propel the industry.

Thanks to the massive success of this event, Bisnow is hitting the ground running on organizing the second International Life Sciences and Biotech Conference, which will take place Sept. 11 and 12 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Montgomery County, Maryland, a growing life sciences cluster.

The conference will gather world-renowned leaders and companies for two days of networking, deal-making and thoughtful discussions, including the following panels:

Fireside Chat: Advancing the Biotech Sector Through Policy and Funding: Policymakers on the process of creating an environment suitable for life sciences by collaborating with CRE, biotech organizations and local institutions.

Building and Designing Labs With Science and Tenants' Needs Top of Mind: Developers, designers and engineers dive into creating best-in-class labs and flexible spaces that can advance along with the changes in the biotech industry.

Enhancing Innovation in Biotech Ecosystems and Innovation Hubs: Attendees will learn about the top life sciences industry hubs and how cities are growing and accommodating the life sciences presence in their regions.

Top International Growth Markets, Acquisitions and Evolving Tenant Needs: Global experts discuss up-and-coming life sciences markets and the future of large developments and campuses in these regions.

“I am excited that we are partnering with Bisnow to host the International Life Sciences and Biotech Conference here in Montgomery County this fall so that national and international players in the real estate market can meet with and understand more about the organizations that have fueled the growth of our region’s cluster,” Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich said.

While attendees can look forward to connecting with global experts and major players in life sciences at the event, they will also come away with knowledge about what is on the horizon for the sector. Don't miss out on the opportunity to gain lucrative insight and do more business.
