Amazon's Building A Third Facility In Kansas City

Placeholder

Amazon is building its third distribution center in Kansas City. The e-commerce giant is bringing the 855k SF facility to Kansas City’s metro area, following its announcement in May that it would build an 822k SF industrial building at Logistics Park Kansas City in Edgerton. These two projects will add to Amazon's 267k fulfillment center at Lenexa Logistics Center, Commercial Property Executive reports.

The Kansas city has become a magnet for e-commerce retailers in recent years, and retailers including S&S Active Wear, FoodServiceWarehouse.com and ReallyGoodStuff.com have migrated to the area. Amazon will build its newest facility on land previously owned by NorthPoint Development, and it will be developed by Cushman & Wakefield, Seefried Industrial Properties and USAA. [CPE]
