Placeholder

The topic of the overall strength of the US economy inspires widespread debate among leaders and pundits. Posing the question directly to American adults provides a little more clarity on the subject. According to the July Consumer Spending Report from Chain Store Guide, 68% of respondents rated the US economy as either fair or poor while just 30.9% regard it as either good are excellent. While the percentage of adults confident in the economy may seem low, it has actually increased from last April, when only 21.6% regarded the economy as in excellent or good condition. The report also finds that 30.7% of adults feel their personal finances are getting better, versus 33.1% who feel they are getting worse. [REJ]
