My Celebrity Airbnb: Inside Elizabeth Taylor's Palm Springs Estate

National

What's the price of living like Elizabeth Taylor for one day? Apparently, $625. The Palm Springs estate of the late movie superstar is up for rent on Airbnb—and, of course, it's as glamorous as you would expect from a superstar like Liz.

Built in the 1930s, the 1.5-acre property includes a main home with four bedrooms and a detached casita. It sits in the upscale neighborhood of Las Palmaswhich was also home to Kirk Douglas, Katherine Hepburn and other celebrities from the Hollywood of yore.

Stepping into the house will parachute you into the Golden Age of Hollywood. The exquisite living room features a custom portrait of Elizabeth Taylor, as well as art objects, photographs and other memorabilia that once belonged to the late actress.

The entry hall pays homage to Elizabeth's journeys around the world, with fine carpets, vases galore, and an Asian folding screen lining the creme-colored walls.

The dining room is just as finely decorated, with oil paintings and even a grand piano sitting right next to the glass table.

Outside the main house, there's a majestic pool with waterfalls and a spillover spa, all surrounded by mature palm trees and lush landscaping. A poolside cabana features a chandelier and rose-colored sofas, where guests can enjoy spectacular views of the San Jacinto Mountains.
