Commercial Real Estate Could Be Headed for Trouble

This commercial real estate cycle might be on its last legs. Green Street Advisors says bearish market signals mean property values are close to their peak—set to drift (and hopefully not skydive) lower during 2016.

Green Street managing director Andy McCulloch says we’ve seen bullish market signals from 2009 up until 2015, but that's changing—a bad sign for the coming year, The Real Deal reports.

REITs are trading low compared to their values and corporate bonds are outstripping property prices, both showing market decline.

Combine that with the Fed’s looming interest rate hike and some see a storm on the horizon. [TRD]
