Another hotel is planned for SoBro, in response to the surge in demand for rooms as more business and leisure travelers come to Nashville. The 14-story Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Hotel would contain 238 rooms and be on 0.8 acres at 421 and 425 Fifth Ave S, a site that's under contract to Safe Harbor Development, the Tennessean reports.

There are now more than 4,000 hotel rooms proposed or under construction in SoBro, the Nashville Business Journal reports. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville restaurant has been operating Downtown on Broadway for almost six years now. Six Margaritaville-branded hotels are up and running—three in Florida, one in Louisiana, one on Mississippi's Gulf Coast and one in Pigeon Forge, also developed by Safe Harbor. [Tennessean]
