Metro Nashville No. 7 In Resembling US (An Unexpectedly Important Stat)

Placeholder

As major metros go, Nashville's a lot like the US as a whole—at least in terms of demographics. In fact, Nashville comes in at No. 7 in its resemblance to the rest of the country, according to a study by WalletHub that compared demographic stats for 379 metros, looking at 26 key metrics, such as age, gender, income, household makeup and housing tenure.

Understanding a metro area in this way is important for a number of reasons, including site selection for businesses, retail locations and how successful entrepreneurs will be. Indianapolis topped the list, followed by Cincinnati; Oklahoma City; Columbus, OH; Jacksonville; Phoenix and then Nashville. The metro with the least resemblance to the US? The Villages, FL.
