Chicago Investors Buy Parcel Near Titans' Stadium

Placeholder

An entity tied to Monroe Investment Partners of Chicago acquired the final piece of a city block in East Nashville near Nissan Stadium. With this deal, Monroe is now one of the largest private landowners along the east side of the river. Among other holdings, it now controls a full city block (about five acres) not far from the stadium, the Nashville Business Journal reports.

The Chicagoans—principals Don Allen and Tom Brashler—haven't unveiled plans for the development of the site. The duo have plans to develop 60 acres they control on the east bank of the Cumberland; zoning has been approved for about 2,000 apartments and as much as 1.9M SF of office space there. [NBJ]
