USF Partners With Capstone-Harrison Street to Develop Student Housing

The University of South Florida and Capstone-Harrison Street are forming a public-private partnership to develop a mixed-use "residential village" at the university's Tampa campus.

The demolition of four existing residential buildings on-site will start in May to make way for the first phase of the new complex, which will have 1,250 beds; a second phase would include another 900 beds, according to The Real Deal.

USF says the work will increase its student housing capacity to almost 6,500 beds. The project will be completed in 2018. [TRD]
