Position: Taylor and Mathis principal.

Background: Born in New York and raised in South Florida, before attending the University of Florida (Go Gators!). After graduation, I worked for Lanier, selling copiers and fax machines door to door, before joining CBRE for the next seven years. I just celebrated my 15-year anniversary with Taylor and Mathis.

Picture taken: In Pasitano, Italy, this summer. We finally got all three kids to go to sleepaway camp, so my wife Robin and I went to Europe for two weeks.

Currently focused on: Growing our third-party leasing and management business in Florida from our current 12M SF portfolio to 20M SF.

Favorite pastimes: Coaching the kids in sports, fishing and basketball.

Favorite holiday: That’s easy, Halloween. We build a haunted house every year, which takes two contractors two weeks to construct. The kids in the neighborhood love it and last year we had nearly 1,000 people come through. Some of the younger kids actually left crying, which I guess means it’s a pretty good haunted house.

Favorite music group: Coldplay and Dave Matthews.

Favorite vacation: Going on safari in South Africa with the kids was amazing, except when we were chased by angry elephants.

Favorite food: Steak and seafood, but my favorite has to be stone crabs from Joe’s.

Startling fact: I was voted second wittiest in my high school in 1988 (the winner ended up with a career in TV) and continue to believe the votes were incorrectly tallied. There’s an ongoing independent investigation into the matter.
