South Florida is home to three real estate billionaires, according to Forbes' massive list of billionaires published this week (it makes this a great region for selling Girl Scout Cookies): Jeff Greene of Palm Beach ($2.5B in assets), Igor Olenicoff of Lighthouse Point ($2.9B), and Jorge Perez of Miami ($2B). Born in Argentina to Cuban parents, Jorge—second from right—embodies the immigrant success story, building his fortune in the US through affordable housing and condos. As the condo market has surged recently, Jorge’s net worth spiked from $1.2B last year.
