Relo, Expansion Both Getting Attention

After years of struggle, office leasing in South Florida is finally being driven by strength in both relocations and expansion, Berger Commercial Realty VP Joseph Byrnes tells us. Previously those drivers weren't always driving leasing at the same time. Joseph and colleague Jonathan Thiel repped the 92k SF Atrium West in Sunrise (with a newly renovated atrium) in three recent leases totaling nearly 3,700 SF. “The leases were prime examples of the trend, with half of the new tenants relocating and the other half new to the market,” he says. (The third half weren't good at math, and thus closed soon after.)
