Las Olas Blvd's Hot
Stiles broke ground on One West Las Olas recently, Las Olas Blvd’s latest commercial project. (South Florida has seen so many groundbreakings lately that you’d think there’d be hard-hat and shovel shortage.) The 35k SF property, with six floors of office space and some ground-floor retail, is going to be the new HQ for the Fort Lauderdale law firm Kopelowitz Ostrow, which will occupy about 12k SF on two full floors.
The development is pretty much all Stiles: it’s designed by Stiles Architectural Group and will be built by Stiles Construction; Stiles Realty is leasing the property, while Stiles Property Management will manage it when it’s done. (It's easier to keep things in the family; gives you something to talk about at Thanksgiving.) Stiles Construction prez Tim Moore explains that the company was a natural for the development, considering that it’s already done about 3.5M SF of commercial and residential space on Las Olas Blvd, with further plans for a 254-unit residential tower a block away from One West Las Olas.
