Swire Properties is adding ammo to a potential expansion to its Brickell City Centre. The firm purchased 158 SW 7th St, a pin corner off 7th sandwiched between 1st and 2nd SW avenues. Specific plans for the property weren't disclosed, but Swire paid $2.5M for the property, which is just a block off its Brickell City Centre development. The news comes weeks before Swire's Stephen Owens is headlining our Evolution of Brickell & Downtown Miami event June 23 at 90 SW 8th St (tickets and info here). Stephen, of course, recently announced his plans to retire as president of the US subsidiary of Swire as of next year, but will continue to hold a board position.
