Amazon are edging closer to taking their first significant Manchester office space as the online giant establishes its U.K. HQ2 requirement in the northern district of the city centre.

As revealed by Bisnow in January, Amazon are close to agreeing to take floorspace at Hermes' Hanover building, part of the NOMA development. The retailer will take 70K SF of the 91K SF building, Place North West reports.

The location offers Amazon the chance to create a larger campus development as part of the 20-acre NOMA scheme.

Hermes took control of the entire 4M SF NOMA scheme at the start of this year following the sale of the Co-Op's 50% interest.
