A new apartment building may rise at 6535 West Melrose Ave.
The lot was cleared earlier this year, and the LA Department of Building and Safety issued a permit to build a three-story, mixed-use development.
It would have 19 apartments above a ground-level restaurant, the Beverly Press reports.
While the developer is unknown, Jay Vanos Architects is listed as the designer.
The project appears to be by-right, so no zoning changes would be required.
