Caruso's New Luxury High-Rise

Caruso Affiliated CEO Rick Caruso (snapped here at a community meeting in Pacific Palisades) has unveiled plans to construct a 154-unit luxury mixed-use at 333 La Cienega, adjacent to Beverly Hills and just north of his 8500 Burton Way project. Rick says the La Cienega project will feature top-notch amenities and will include improvements to the streetscape, including a 10k SF open space anchored by a grand fountain. Rick has been busy of late, most recently pushing his big plans for Pacific Palisades, which include converting an entire city block into a shopping mecca for locals.

Rick says the amenities are designed to rival a luxury hotel, and include a sky deck pool, state-of-the-art fitness center and a 24-hour attendant and call center. Other services include on-site valet, One-Touch Concierge service, residents-only events, dog walking, on-call luxury sedan for residents, and VIP valet passes to The Grove and The Americana at Brand. This is the new trend in luxury multifamily development, which now looks more like a hotel than an apartment building, according to developers at our Construction & Development and the Battle of Prop 13 event at the Millennium Biltmore hotel last week. The entitlements have just been filed, so this one could be a ways out. The company is tentatively shooting for a late 2017 open.
