The site of Westchester's former Grinder Restaurant could soon be turned into a mixed-use development.

New plans filed with the city show the five-story project that could be built at 8521 South Sepulveda Blvd. It would have 86 units and 999 SF of commercial space, Curbed Los Angeles reports.

Eight of the units would be set aside for very-low-income residents.

The Grinder Restaurant closed nearly five years ago. The building sold nearly two years ago for around $3.5M.

In exchange for adding affordable units to the project, the developer, Caladan Investments, is asking for increased building height and less open space.
