New Hotel Could Go Up On Abbott Kinney

Placeholder

Abbott Kinney Boulevard may be known for its popular shops and restaurants, but a new boutique hotel may soon raise its profile even more.

Plans are underway for the Venice Place Project, which includes an 80-room hotel, three restaurants, shops, office and four apartments. Architect David Hertz is designing the project. Wynkoop Properties is the developer, Urbanize LA reports.

Some of the restaurant tenants include Felix, Casa Linda and a new Hal's Bar & Grill.

The development would take up most of the block bordered by Abbott Kinney, Broadway Street, and Electric and Westminster avenues.

It is not clear yet when construction would begin. [ULA]
