Hollywood Could Get Affordable Housing For Artists

Los Angeles

An affordable housing complex geared toward artists may be coming to Hollywood soon.

The $35M Hollywood Arts Collective, between Schrader Boulevard and Wilcox Avenue, would include 60% affordable units and 40% market-rate housing. There would be a total of 72 units.

The project would include 25k SF of retail space, space for a gallery and offices, and an outdoor amphitheater, Curbed reports.

The existing building at the site houses two art spaces, Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions and Woodbury University’s WUHO gallery.

The project is being developed by The Actors Fund and Thomas Safran & Associates. [Curbed]
