Groundbreaking For Big Wilmington Project

Placeholder

Abode Communities and Mercy Housing California came together this week for the groundbreaking of Vista del Mar and Camino del Mar in Wilmington.

The $71M project, which is not far from the Wilmington Waterfront Park, includes 176 affordable homes and 35k SF of open space.

There will also be a computer lab and social services on-site, Urbanize LA reports.

The projects are the final phase of the Dana Strand Village redevelopment, which was begun 16 years ago. It will end up providing housing for around 750 people.

Vista del Mar and Camino del Mar are expected to be completed in 2018. [ULA]
