Segro Launches London's First Carbon Neutral Industrial Scheme At Navigation Park Phase 2

Segro’s latest speculative light industrial and urban logistics development, Navigation Park Phase 2 in Enfield, is London’s first carbon neutral industrial development.

The project, which consists of 173k SF of Class-A space across three units, is near the M25 with direct access to central London. Segro's Director for Greater London, Alan Holland, unveiled the project to commercial real estate agents on Thursday.

The project, which has a BREEAM rating of "excellent", uses LED lighting controlled by motion and light sensors and high U-Value building fabric, outperforming building regulations by about 40%. The company also installed 535 kWp of photovoltaic panels across the three buildings that comprise the project. The solar panels are expected to offset about 240 tonnes of carbon per year, generating more energy than will be required from the grid.

Camden Town Brewery was the first tenant to sign a lease for Phase 2 in April, two months ahead of completion. The craft brew brand will open a 57k SF brewery in November 2016 and has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with Segro, anticipating annual savings of £10k.

Two of Segro’s Navigation Park units are available, which can be combined to provide up to 117k SF.
