New 50-Story Hotel OK'd For Southwark

Placeholder

A two-story property at 153-159 Borough High St in Southwark will be demolished and a new seven-story hotel will be built in its place.

The council gave the green light for a 50-key hotel with a public café, rooftop terrace and reception at ground-floor.

Architect firm Squire and Partners described the project as “framed in glazed brick and animating the streetscape.”

The site has two nearby metro stations: London Bridge and Borough, both served by the Northern Line and also the National Rail network. The site is also pedestrian-friendly.
