The quickly growing Peli Peli Restaurant Group has leased the "End Hunger" building, officially named the Mary Barden Keegan Center, from Virgata Property Co. The outfit will use the 15K SF facility as a commissary and catering kitchen, according to the Houston Business Journal.

Virgata bought the center from the Houston Food Bank last December. Edge Realty marketed the building on behalf of Virgata.

Virgata wanted a tenant with core values and service to the community similar to the Food Bank. During last year's Houston Restaurant Weeks, Peli Peli gave over $76K to charity, the second-largest donor.

Peli Peli opened its first location in 2009. Since then, the group has opened a second location inside the Galleria and fast-casual locations Peli Peli Kitchen and Peli Deli, as well as another location in Katy.
