Real Estate Execs Sleep on the Streets

Houston Other
Placeholder

We had the honor of attending Covenant House’s annual candlelight vigil for homeless youth last night, where a bunch of real estate execs participated in a sleep-out. We snapped Kurt Nondorf, Brad Freels, Jonathan Brinsden, Joe Cleary, Mike Mair, Steve Biegel, Alan Arnold, Brett Hamilton, Mike Holland and Will Harper preparing to sleep on the concrete outside of Covenant House to raise awareness of the plight of homeless people. 61 execs (not pictured from CRE, Tom Bacon and Peter Biillipp) from various Houston industries took part this year, and have already raised $331k for the program. Special kudos to Kurt (front and center in the blue sleeves)—he’s been instrumental in getting the commercial real estate world involved in Covenant House, which takes in anyone aged 18 to 21 and provides housing, food, medical care, clothing, life skills training and help finding a job.
