Fiber Internet Company Leases Nearly 100K SF For New HQ In Houston
Ezee Fiber committed to lease 94K SF in a 567K SF office and data center building in Southwest Houston.
The internet service provider will consolidate its two Houston locations into this lease at 5959 Corporate Drive, also known as Houston Technology Center. Ezee Fiber will use its new space as office and warehouse space, according to a news release from Transwestern.
“With a long history as a data center property and over 10 fiber providers, this campus has multiple megawatts of immediate capacity available for data center users,” Todd Smith, chief technology officer of Transwestern’s technology properties group, said in the release.
Ezee Fiber provides fiber internet services to residential, business and government customers through its fiber-optic network.
The new office and warehouse space will support the company’s expanding operations and growth. Ezee Fiber expanded this year into New Mexico and acquired another fiber provider this month. Ezee Fiber plans to expand into additional states in 2025 and beyond, according to the company’s news release.
Houston Technology Center offers more than 300K SF of available contiguous office space, according to an undated description of the building on Transwestern’s website. The building has a renovated tenant lounge, an on-site restaurant, conference rooms, a fitness center, move-in ready office space and power redundancy, according to the Transwestern release.
“We successfully addressed all [Ezee Fiber’s] requirements, from a prime location and amenity-rich environment to strong ownership and the capacity to foster collaboration within a unified campus,” Transwestern’s Michelle Wogan said in the release.
Wogan and Paula Musa represented the building owner, Prescott Group.
