Investors Build in Greenspoint Again

Yesterday, KDC and Sarofim Realty Advisors broke ground on a 69k SF build-to-suit HQ for Lennar Homes. It’s in Greens Crossing Office Park, across from the current Lennar offices, and will be the first investor-owned new office development in Greenspoint in six years, says KDC Houston partner William Peeples. Lennar first sought space in an existing property, but couldn’t find anything that suited its planned 5k SF design center (it’ll showcase Village Builders’ latest home products).

The build-to-suit is on a fast-track timeline, and will deliver next October. Employees will enjoy the adjacent five-acre detention pond with walking trail and extensive landscaping. Powers Brown is architect, Rosenberger is GC and Halff is the civil engineer. CBRE’s Jerry Frey, Ron McWherter and Darren Gowell repped Lennar and Cassidy Turley’s JP Hutcheson repped KDC and Sarofim.
