DCT Starts Phase 2

Two months before the delivery of Phase 1, DCT has begun work on Phase 2 of DCT Northwest Crossroads Logistics Centre. We snapped the DCT/Rosenberger team on the building pad of the second building—in the background, the panels of Building 1 were being raised. (You're not supposed to play with shovels if you don't have enough for everyone.) VP Will Hedges and regional VP Justin Bennett tell us the new facility is a 320k SF bulk cross-dock distribution center, and will complete development of the park. Justin says Northwest Crossroads is different from other projects underway in the immediate area—a road being built alongside it will provide immediate Beltway access.

DCT Northwest Crossroads Logistics Center will deliver Phase 1 in December, and Phase 2 in March. Lennox has pre-leased 52% of the first building, leaving 171k SF available there. Will says at this time the park can accommodate users ranging from 45k SF to 500k SF across both buildings. He tells us leasing was unusually strong through the summer, with lots of interest at the park.
