MD Anderson Heads to League City for the First Time

Placeholder

Houston healthcare really is on the move. Besides the anticipated addition to the Texas Medical Center, now comes word that the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center will pair with University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston to open a free-standing cancer clinic in League City. The facility between I-10 and Highway 6 is set to open for business in 2018. Did you know: Anderson, named for a cotton trader, was endowed by his estate in 1939 and formerly created by the state legislature in 1941. It’s grown from 46 beds to its current sprawling complex while building a rep as one of the leading cancer centers in the world. [C2H]
