A partial interest in Denver’s Kimpton Hotel Born was sold to Aspen Hospitality, the hospitality division of Aspen Skiing Co. for an undisclosed sum. The 14K SF hotel will be converted into Aspen Hospitality’s Limelight brand later this year. CBRE’s Rick Rush and Carter Gradwell represented the seller, Continuum Partners. 

PEOPLE

CBRE promoted seven people from the company’s Colorado branch. Lee Diamond, Eric Roth and Martin Roth were promoted to executive vice president; Campbell Davis, Jared May and Jeff Wood were promoted to vice president; and Cameron Flint was promoted to senior associate.

Leslie de Haas joined CBRE’s office in Boulder as a senior associate specializing in office, life sciences and industrial leasing. She has more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate with most of her experience coming from institutional ownership. Before joining CBRE, de Haas worked as an asset manager at JAGreen Development.

A 34-unit apartment complex known as The Cedar in Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood sold for $8.3M. JLL’s Robert Bratley and Jack Sanders represented sellers Eli Cohen and Oscar Rojas with Cohen Rojas Capital Partners. The building was purchased by Marc Cianciola with Leale Capital and Seth Elken with Elkco Properties.

A 24-unit multifamily property located at 632-636 North Shields St. in Fort Collins sold for $5.6M on March 21. Kaufman Hagan’s Andrew Vollert and Brandon Kaufman represented the seller and buyer in the transaction.

Lancaster Manor, located at 2508 East 11th Ave. in Denver, sold for $7.3M. Greg Johnson and Conner Piretti of NorthPeak Commercial Advisors represented the buyer and seller in the sale.

A 10-unit multifamily complex at 1452 Ivanhoe St. in Denver exchanged hands for $1.79M. NorthPeak’s Kevin Calame and Matt Lewallen represented the buyer and seller in this transaction.

A 25K SF former Ford auto dealership at 999 East Eisenhower Blvd. in Loveland sold for $6.55M. NavPoint’s Matt Call and Mike Quinlan represented the buyer, Gen121 LLC. Cushman & Wakefield’s Jason Ells represented the seller, 600 Diagonal LLC and Bravada Eisenhower LLC. 

LEASES

Flexible workspace provider Office Evolution leased a 11.3K SF floor at 1580 North Logan St., which will be built out to include private offices, dedicated desks, shared workspaces, conference rooms, mail service, a community kitchen and an on-site receptionist. CBRE’s Ryan Link, Rob Link, Harrison Archer and Kiana Akina represented Office Evolution in the lease.

Canopy Aerospace leased nearly 17K SF of office at 8101 Midway Drive in Littleton to serve as the company’s new headquarters. The landlord was represented by Jeff Brandon and Matt Call of NavPoint Real Estate Group. Canopy was represented by Matt Harbert, Alex Hammerstein, and Morgan Barstad of Raise Commercial Real Estate.

McCarthy Building Cos. leased 13K SF at One Platte, a more than 250K SF office building at 1701 Platte St. in Denver. McCarthy was represented by JLL’s David Shirazi, Janessa Biller and Scott Wetzel. Newmark represented the landlord, Shorenstein.

Dollar Tree agreed to lease a 13.6K SF retail space at 655 East South Boulder Road in Louisville for the next 10 years. Mike Quinlan and Matt Call of NavPoint Real Estate Group represented the landlord, DCP Louisville LLC. Dollar Tree was represented by CBRE’s Cameron Flint.

The Altman Management Co. brought on RAM Partners as a full-service property management partner. RAM is expected to improve Altman’s back-office support services.

The Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors held its annual Heavy Hitters Awards on March 15. Broker Riki Hashimoto took home the Broker of the Year Award. The 56th & Tower Mixed Use development won Project of the Year. The Edens RiNo acquisition won the DMCAR Retail Deal of the Year, and Flatiron Park won DMCAR’s Office of the Year award.
