Toys R Us Exiling 6 DFW Stores To The Isle Of Lost Toys

Floundering retailer Toys R Us is shuttering 180 stores across the U.S., six of which are in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Stores in Allen, near the Galleria, Irving, Lewisville, Hurst and near Hulen Mall in Fort Worth will be closing their doors for good, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The closing of these stores is further indication of the big-box retailers' struggle to maintain its profit margins.

The stores closing across the nation generated $925M in sales last year but only $2.4M in earnings. In DFW, there are 14 remaining Toys R Us locations.
