The retail space at PwC Tower is slated to house Yardbird Southern Table & Bar.

A restaurant famous for offering Southern-style food in Miami is now opening its doors in Uptown Dallas.

Trammell Crow announced that Yardbird Southern Table & Bar — an award-winning restaurant — signed a 7K SF lease inside the 900K SF Park District mixed-use development near Klyde Warren Park.

Yardbird plans to occupy the ground floor of PwC Tower, where it will serve food inspired by its Southern roots, offering meals made from farm-fresh ingredients.

Yardbird first opened in Miami in 2011 under restaurateur John Kunkel.

“We are confident that Dallas/Fort Worth will love Yardbird Southern Table & Bar and we are honored they have selected Park District as their first location in Texas,” Trammell Crow Senior Managing Director Scott Krikorian said in a prepared statement.

Park District is a joint venture between Trammell Crow and MetLife Investment Management.

Prior to opening in Dallas, Yardbird set up locations in Las Vegas, Miami Beach, Los Angeles and Singapore.

Charter Realty & Development Corp.’s Paul Brandes represented the tenant, while CBRE’s Nathan Wood and Sydney Muller represented the landlord.
