Her background is varied with time spent in asset management and analysis. So how did she become a top player at Weitzman and in commercial real estate? The answer dates back to her childhood.

Bisnow: What did you dream of becoming as a child? How does your current career feed that inner child inside of you?

Miller: I grew up in a very entrepreneurial family, and that was an inspiration that has served me well in my career. I didn’t have a definite idea of what I wanted to be, but even when I was little, I had a strong work ethic and wanted to make a difference.

Bisnow: If you could teach women growing in the industry today just one thing, what would it be?

Miller: Make sure you plan to succeed not based on being given special consideration as a woman but because you are smarter, work harder and know more than anyone else in the room.

Bisnow: Who inspires you on a daily basis and why?

Miller: Every day, my daughter inspires me to do my best and be my best. I want to show her by example that she can have it all.
