Verizon Looks To Build 3.5M SF Irving Campus

Verizon’s designs for a planned 157-acre corporate office campus in Las Colinas will be voted on by Irving’s Planning & Zoning Commission Monday. In order for the project to advance, it must be approved by the Irving City Council.

Thousands of workers, along with residents, will be housed in the enormous development, encompassing 3.5M SF of office space, housing, a hotel offering 150 rooms, and 85k SF for retail. It would be one of the largest such projects ever constructed in Irving, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Topping off the ambitious development is a proposed DART rail station to ferry commuters to and from downtown Dallas and the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Verizon also plans to renovate its existing campus. [DMN]
