Copeland Commercial LLC snagged $40M in financing for Phase 1 of the DFW Commerce Center, its 2.8M SF, Class-A industrial development on DFW Airport land.

HFF Executive Managing Director Joe Thornton Jr., Managing Director Adam Herrin and Director Stephen Bailey secured the equity on behalf of the developer.

Phase 1 will include 1M SF of industrial space with 40-foot clear heights (a key consideration for e-commerce tenants) and 184 dock doors for light and heavy distribution. Three other buildings are planned to fill out the remaining 1.8M SF. No expected completion date has been issued for the project.

CORRECTION, FEB. 19, 10:15 A.M. CT: A previous version of the article incorrectly portrayed the financing HFF secured. It was joint venture equity. The story has been updated.
