Déjà vu: McKinney Lands HQ Deal, Too

Placeholder

The Metroplex is one HQ short of a hat trick (in honor of the Stars playoff efforts). But, the McKinney Economic Development Corp did its part to secure the location of China-based Hisun Motors Corp's North American HQ in McKinney. Hisun will move into the former regional HQ for Emerson Process Management Regulator Technologies at 310 E University Dr in July. The 164k SF facility was vacated in October when Emerson moved into its new global HQ in McKinney. MEDC purchased the Emerson facility as part of the incentives to keep it in the city. Structure Commercial's Bob Kent has worked with Hisun for more than four years through each of its warehouse expansions, in which the firm doubled in size every year.

Bob tells us Hisun’s growth in the US has been so fast that it was constantly leasing more space. Finally, Bob says the maker of utility-terrain vehicles and all-terrain vehicles opted to buy a site with the ability to add onto the building and expand. The move to McKinney will add 80 new jobs within three years. Hisun USA opened a service center in the DFW area in 2006 to provide quicker parts and service to its North American distributors, MEDC officials tell us. Hisun Motors Corp USA currently employs more than 40 assembly workers and hand assembles and tests UTV and ATV products.
