"Trammell Crow Co. has purchased the site," the company's Dallas-area senior managing director, Scott Krikorian, confirmed to Bisnow in a statement. "We are excited about future development opportunities."

Trammell Crow has not disclosed its plans for the site, or if there will be any changes to SMU's operations there.

The SMU-in-Plano Campus is a four-building property that sits on 16 acres at 5228-5236 Tennyson Parkway in West Plano.

The site has long served as home to the university's Guidehall video game development program, Center for Family Counseling, and Center for Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management.

Newmark Knight Frank's Rebecca Griffin, Lispah Hogan and Sara Fredericks represented the university in the sale.

The purchase gives Trammell Crow a unique site in the heart of Legacy Business Park close to the corporate campuses of Toyota, Liberty Mutual and JPMorgan and near the North Dallas Tollway

“This sale provided SMU the opportunity and ability to redeploy capital to its main campus and create cohesiveness between all programs,” NKF Executive Managing Director Rebecca Griffin said.
