|Boxing, Blackjack, booze and lots of networking: the makings of the 22nd annual Fight Night fundraiser for The Real Estate Council at the Hilton Anatole on Thursday.
|We caught up with J.E. Robert Companies senior asset manager Mark Horinbein and Stream Realty's Sarah Payne (out of the 1,000 attendees). Sarah served on the Fight Night committee with her boss and event chairman Lee Belland. The event proceeds go to the TREC Foundation, benefitting local charities. âWhat a great opportunity to raise money for worthy causes throughout the city,â Sarah tells us, though she also âgot a lead on a 200k RSF deal after dessert. I can't go into the details though.â
|Munch Hardt Kopf & Harr's Richard Kopf with Westmount Realty Capital principals Cliff Booth and Stephen Kanoff. Cliff tells us the Westmount Foundation will host its inaugural Teams for Children event this Saturday at Greenhill School in Addison. The event involves DFW's top commercial real estate companies battling head-to-head in sporting events while raising funds for children's charities including Court Appointed Special Advocates in Collin County, Dignitas International, Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and Greenhill School. Cliff says there's still room to join in the fun by going to teamsforchildren.org.
|Next year's Fight Night will be chaired by three people making it a family affair: Crow Holdings' Will Mundinger III, his dad, Archon's Will Mundinger Jr. and his sister, HFF's Elizabeth Mundinger Malone. Will was married this past weekend, making it a busy social calendar for the Mundinger family. Since it started, Fight Night has raised more than $18M , making it one of DFW's largest philanthropic events, supporting charitable works of the TREC.
