Our headline refers to what Amend Group prez John Amend calls Interstate Batteries' long-term 133K SF lease extension and expansion at its HQ at Park Central 7,8 & 9. Yes, he's got skin in the game (he repped Interstate), but get this: to mark the occasion, the entire complex will be illuminated in green lighting this month. If this was just any deal, would they do that?

 

Alright, need something more substantive? Parmenter Realty Partners (owner of Park Central) says other than Unitrin in ‘06, this is the largest lease in the PC submarket in the last 20 years. PC is an 845k SF Class A office complex at the intersection of LBJ Freeway and North Central Expressway. Cousins Properties’ VPs Matt Schendle  and Cynthia Cowen represented Parmenter.
