Morton's Goes Uptown
On Monday, Morton's Restaurant Group released plans to open a new Morton's The Steakhouse in Uptown. The almost 9k SF restaurant at McKinney and Pearl streets in the Uptown Plaza(above, a quick pic of the plaza thanks to Google Maps) will be across the street from the  Rosewood Crescent Hotel, Crescent Office Building, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Ritz Residences, and  Hotel ZaZa. For reaction on the ground, we spoke to Valeo Fund managing director Jim Yoder, whose office is in the Crescent; he says he's looking forward to another option serving the office buildings around the location. (We'll be glad to let you treat us, Jim.) The new Dallas Uptown Morton's is expected to open in early 2011. The restaurant has a downtown presence already at 501 Elm St. adjacent to Dealey Plaza and The Sixth Floor Museum.
